Families and seniors gathered in Richmond this past weekend for a special Mother\u2019s Day luncheon and health fair hosted by the Richmond Chinese Community Society, celebrating mothers while promoting wellness and community connection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The event brought together residents of all ages for an afternoon of cultural performances, health information booths and a traditional community lunch. Richmond councillor Andy Hobbs attended the gathering, greeting guests and recognizing the important role mothers and seniors play in strengthening the community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Organizers said the event was designed not only to celebrate Mother\u2019s Day, but also to provide accessible health and wellness resources for local families and older adults. Attendees were able to connect with healthcare professionals, receive wellness information and participate in community outreach activities throughout the afternoon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThis is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate family, culture and healthy living,\u201d Hobbs said during remarks to attendees. \u201cEvents like this help bring the Richmond community together and support the wellbeing of residents of all ages.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The luncheon featured live entertainment, community recognition awards and traditional performances that reflected Richmond\u2019s diverse Chinese Canadian community.
